Richard Fritschi – Chairman of the Board

Mr Fritschi brings extensive experience to the Chairman position as a leader in the healthcare industry, having served 5 years as CEO of Ypsomed AG from 2006 – 2011. His strong track record furthermore spans over 20 years in executive management positions in the medtech industry with Zimmer Holdings Inc., Centerpulse AG and Sulzer Medica AG as well as over 10 years experience in the pharma/biotech industry. Mr. Fritschi is highly reputed in the industry and an accomplished Chairman. He received degrees in Economics and Controlling at the Swiss Institute for Economy in Zurich and participated in the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Mr. Scala has extensive experience in leading healthcare companies. He was the CEO and President of Nobel Biocare Holding AG from 2007 to 2011 and was the CFO of Syngenta International AG from 2003 to 2007. Previously, he held numerous senior leadership positions at Roche Holding AG from 1995 to 2003. He is currently the Chairman of both Basilea Pharmaceutica AG and Oettinger Davidoff AG and is on the board of Basler Kantonalbank. Mr. Scala obtained a degree in Economics from the University of Basel and holds Executive Development degrees from INSEAD and London Business School.
Prof. Dr. h.c. mult. Robert Frigg

Prof. Dr. h.c. mult. Robert Frigg has vast experience in product development in the medical device industry, having spent over 30 years in innovation leadership positions in the medtech field. He was the Chief Technology Officer at Synthes AG with global responsibility for technology and innovation from 2004 – 2012. Previously, he was VP of Innovation and New Concepts at Mathys Medical from 1997 – 2003. He also founded and managed the AO/ASIF Development Institute in Davos. Dr. Frigg has received numerous awards in recognition of his contributions to the medical device industry.
Prof. Dr. Klaus Neftel

Prof. Dr. Neftel was the former Chief of Internal Medicine at the Ziegler Hospital in Berne from 1989 – 2000 as well as a Professor at the University of Berne. Prior to that, he was a Senior Physician in Internal Medicine in the Medical Clinic at the University Hospital Zurich (1983 to 1989). He is a Certified Hematologist and specialist in Internal Medicine. Prof. Dr. Neftel is the editor of the Swiss Medical Forum and previously developed and lead an internet portal in combination with symposiums for a nationwide CME program.

Mr. Siegenthaler was the co-founder and former Managing Director of Obtech Medical AG, the founders’ previous successful medtech business in obesity surgery. At Obtech Medical, he focused primarily on building the global sales organization, establishing salesforces in 32 countries and developing relationships with Key Opinion Leaders. Mr. Siegenthaler was a Rector at the University Lucerne of Applied Sciences and Arts and has a degree in music.
Dr. Martin Batliner

Dr.iur. Martin Batliner has long-standing experience as an independent attorney-at-law in Liechtenstein and has been a Partner at the legal chambers BATLINER WANGER BATLINER Rechtsanwälte AG in Vaduz since 2002. He was member of the Supervisory Board of the Liechtenstein Financial Market Authority from 2005-2009. Dr. Batliner holds a doctorate in law from the University of Fribourg and completed post-doctoral studies in international business law at the University of Zurich (LL.M.).
